The simple future of the verb "to be" + The present participle (base+ing) / El futuro simple del verbo "to be" + El participio presente (base+ing)

Do you know what you are going to be doing this afternoon, next week or in five years? The future continuous, or future continuous, is the correct verb tense to express it. Thanks to this type of use, the future progressive, as it is also known, is widely used in certain talks or writings where the reason is that you talk about your goals, dreams or predictions for a certain time. / ¿Sabes qué vas a estar haciendo hoy en la tarde, la próxima semana o en cinco años? El future continuous, o futuro continuo, es el tiempo verbal adecuado para expresarlo. Gracias a este tipo de uso, el future progressive, como también se le conoce, es ampliamente utilizado en ciertas pláticas o escritos donde el motivo es que hables de tus objetivos, sueños o predicciones para un tiempo determinado.

The "future continuous" refers to an unfinished action or event that will continue to occur after the present moment. The "future continuous" is used for a considerable variety of purposes. / El "future continuous" hace referencia a una acción o evento inacabados que seguirán ocurriendo con posterioridad al momento presente. El "future continuous" se emplea con una considerable variedad de propósitos.

1.  To indicate that an action that is running in the future is interrupted by another specific action. / Para indicar que una acción que está en ejecución en el futuro es interrumpida por otra acción específica.		I will be studying when you call me. (Estaré estudiando cuando me llames.-Solo piensa, el próximo lunes estarás trabajando en tu nuevo trabajo.)
2. To express actions that will be in the process of being carried out or taking place at a specific time in the future. / Para expresar acciones que estarán en proceso de realización o teniendo lugar en un momento específico del futuro.		Tonight I'll be watching the premiere of last season. (Esta noche estaré viendo el estreno de la última temporada.)
3. To express future actions that take place in parallel. /Para expresar acciones futuras que se desarrollan paralelamente.		Tonight we will be dancing and having a good time. (Esta noche estaremos bailando y pasándolo bien.)
4. To express an action that has been planned for the future and that must be carried out within a certain moment (the translation will not be literal, but with a nuance of the future)./ Para expresar una acción que ha sido planeada para el futuro y que debe llevarse a cabo dentro de un determinado momento (la traducción no será literal, sino con matiz de futuro).	She will be visiting us next Christmas. Va a visitarnos las próximas Navidades. En este sentido la diferencia con el "futuro simple" es que "will" suele dar el matiz de voluntad o intención. Will she visit us next Chrismas? ¿Nos visitará las próximas Navidades? (¿Quiere venir a visitarnos ...?) Will she be visiting us next Christmas? ¿Va a visitarnos las próximas Navidades? (¿Tiene planeado venir ...?)
5. To express probability, deduction. / Para expresar probabilidad, deducción.	We have not called her and she will be getting angry. (No la hemos llamado y estará enfadada.)
6.  To ask politely about someone's plans. / Para preguntar educadamente acerca de los planes de alguien.	Will you be coming tomorrow morning? ¿Vendrás mañana por la mañana? (simplemente quiero saber tus planes de una forma educada; no presiono, ni ordeno) Are you going to come tomorrow morning? (presiono tu decisión) Will you come tomorrow morning? (pregunto u ordeno, dependiendo de la entonación)

2. The "future continuous" can be used to make predictions or assumptions about future events. / El "future continuous" puede utilizarse para realizar predicciones o suposiciones sobre eventos futuros.	-He'll be coming to the meeting, I expect. -I guess you'll be feeling thirsty after working in the sun. -You'll be missing the sunshine once you're back in England.	-Él estará yendo a la reunión, supongo. -Supongo que sentirás sed después de trabajar bajo el sol. -Estarás extrañando la luz del sol una vez que estés de vuelta en Inglaterra.
3. In interrogative form, the "future continuous" is used to politely ask for information about the future. / En forma interrogativa, el "future continuous" sirve para pedir educadamente información sobre el futuro.	-Will you be bringing your friend to the pub tonight? -Will Jim be coming with us? -Will she be going to the party tonight? -Will I be sleeping in this room?	-¿Estarás llevando a tu amigo al pub esta noche? -¿Jim estarás viniendo con nosotros? -¿Ella estará yendo a la fiesta esta noche? -¿Estaré durmiendo en esta habitación?
4. The "future continuous" can be used to refer to events of a certain duration that we believe will take place in the future. / El "future continuous" puede utilizarse para hacer referencia a eventos de cierta duración que creemos que se desarrollarán en el futuro.	-I'll be seeing Jim at the conference next week. -When he is in Australia he will be staying with friends. -I'll be eating with Jane this evening so I can tell her.	-Estaré viendo a Jim en la conferencia la próxima semana. -Cuando esté en Australia se estará quedando con amigos. -Estaré cenando con Jane esta noche para poder decírselo.
5. In combination with the term "still", the "future continuous" refers to events that are already happening now and that we assume will continue into the future. / En combinación con el término "still", el "future continuous" hace referencia a eventos que ya están ocurriendo ahora y que suponemos que se prolongarán en el futuro.	-In an hour I'll still be ironing my clothes. -Tomorrow he'll still be suffering from his cold. -Next year will she still be wearing a size six? -Won't stock prices still be falling in the morning? -Unfortunately, sea levels will still be rising in 20 years.	-En una hora todavía estaré planchando mi ropa. It is important to emphasize that the future continuous must be conjugated with verbs that mean actions, since they are the ones that allow us to refer to the duration of something. In case you want to use stative verbs, such as know or seem, it is preferable to use the future simple.	Es importante subrayar que el futuro continuo debe conjugarse con verbos que signifiquen acciones, ya que son los que permiten referirse a la duración de algo. En caso de querer usar verbos de estado, como know o seem, es preferible usar el futuro simple.
